PLAN THE NEXT RUN

The right batch starts with the demand behind it.

Repeat sheet metal work brings two decisions together: which drawing revision to make and how much to make this time. Give Nova the quantities you can use, and we can review practical batch sizes against the complete manufacturing scope.

COMPARE THE COMPLETE RUN

Balance unit cost with what you can use.

Setup and handling can be spread across a batch, while material, processing, finishing, and freight still depend on the job. Ask Nova to review useful quantity alternatives in NovaQuote alongside the current manufacturing requirements. A larger batch is not automatically the better purchase.

01

Start with immediate demand.

Give the quantity you actually need now. Identify a prototype or first-article stage if the drawing or fit still needs evaluation before a production run.

02

Compare realistic batches.

List alternative quantities in the request notes. Nova can compare supported quantity estimates and review the setup, handling, material, and finishing scope for each proposed run.

03

Consider total spend.

Compare the complete batch price as well as the unit price. Weigh any reduction per part against cash tied up in stock, storage, demand uncertainty, and the risk of a drawing change.

Use the quotation issued for your quantity.

Quantity comparisons help the discussion; they do not create additional customer offers or a standing price schedule. Nova reviews the selected quantity and issues its quotation with the applicable scope, expiry, and timing. Confirm freight and any required inspection or documentation when comparing the complete cost.

REUSE THE REVIEWED REVISION

Start from your existing private request link.

Open the private link you saved when you submitted the part. It gives access to that request and its repeat-quote action. If you cannot find the link, contact Nova with your request reference.

  1. 01

    Check the approved part details.

When Nova has approved a part for repeat quoting, your linked request shows its saved revision and specifications. Review the part number, material, thickness, process, finish, drawing files, and quality requirements before requesting another run.

  2. 02

    Confirm the same specifications.

Use the repeat action only when the attached drawings and requirements still apply. Enter a new quantity and, if known, a requested delivery date. An active approved part preserves the reviewed drawing snapshot for the new request.

  3. 03

Send changes as a new request.

A changed revision, geometry, material, finish, or quality requirement needs updated files and review. Submit a new request and identify what changed. Contact Nova if an approved part is retired or the repeat action is unavailable.

  4. 04

    Review the next quotation.

Each repeat creates a fresh request. Previous prices and acceptance do not carry over. Nova reviews current costs, quantity, capacity, and delivery before issuing the next quote; approval for repeat quoting is not a production release.

SHARE THE PLANNING CONTEXT

Separate the next batch from the annual outlook.

Enter the quantity needed now in the request. If you have a forecast, use the optional production plans to share expected repeat cadence and estimated annual quantity. Describe seasonal demand or uncertain timing in the notes.

FORECASTS

Useful context, without a purchase commitment.

A forecast helps Nova understand how this run fits future work. It does not create scheduled orders, reserve capacity, establish blanket pricing, or authorize payments.

  • Share your best current estimate, or leave it blank.
  • Identify assumptions and likely changes in the notes.
  • Request and review a fresh quotation when the next run is needed.
ASSEMBLIES

Keep the complete scope together.

Repeat assemblies still need the current assembly drawing, component revisions, and bill of materials. Confirm purchased hardware, customer-supplied items, weld requirements, finishing sequence, and inspection needs.

Nova reviews assembly and applicable partner operations together. Use the assembly review guide when preparing the documents, and identify changes to any component.

BEFORE YOU SUBMIT

Questions about the request.

Will a bigger batch always cost less per part?

No. Setup may be spread across more pieces, but material utilization, tooling, handling, finishing, and other operations can change with the quantity. Ask Nova to compare quantities you could use. The reviewed quote, including its complete scope, is the basis for a purchase decision.

Does an approved part keep its previous price?

No. An approved part preserves the reviewed drawing and specification snapshot for repeat quoting. Each run receives a fresh quotation for its quantity, current costs, capacity, and timing.

Can I repeat a part that has a new drawing revision?

Submit a new request with the current files and identify the changes. The repeat action requires confirmation that the existing specifications and attached drawing revision still apply.

Does a repeat request place an order or collect payment?

It creates a request for a fresh quotation. You review the quotation before deciding whether to accept it. Payment and delivery arrangements are coordinated with Nova; a forecast or repeat request does not authorize recurring orders or payments.

MAKE THE NEXT RUN CLEAR

Bring the drawing and the demand.

For an unchanged part, use the repeat action in your saved private request link. For a new or revised part, upload the current files and tell Nova the quantities you want reviewed.
