Start with one part.
Define a good first run.
Evaluate Nova for a new part or an additional manufacturing source with a quoted, paid trial run. Bring one part family, its current drawing revision, and the requirements your team will use to accept the finished work.
A practical first step for your purchasing team.
Keep the first request narrow enough to review against a clear drawing and acceptance plan.
Qualify a new part or a new working relationship.
Choose a bracket, panel, cover, or assembly with a defined revision. Tell Nova what the trial needs to establish, such as fit, finish, first-article measurements, or documentation.
Start a first-order reviewEvaluate an additional source against your requirements.
Provide the drawing and specifications you are authorized to share. Identify required material, tolerances, finish, and inspection evidence so Nova can review the same finished-part requirements.
Start a second-source reviewBring the finished-part scope, not just the profile.
- 01
One part family and the controlling revision
Upload the current drawing and CAD files. Include the part number, drawing units, material grade, thickness, critical dimensions, and any reference files that explain fit. Use one request per part or complete assembly.
- 02
Trial quantity and expected repeat demand
Enter the quantity needed for this run. Share the expected repeat cadence and annual quantity separately, if known. These forecasts are planning context, not committed purchases or reserved capacity.
- 03
Acceptance and inspection requirements
State the dimensions, tolerances, appearance criteria, inspection records, material certificates, or first-article documents you require. Identify anything still to be agreed. Nova must review these requirements before confirming the scope.
- 04
The complete finished work
Define deburring, forming, welds, installed hardware, coating or plating, masking, visible faces, packaging, and the shipping destination where applicable. For an assembly, include the bill of materials and component revisions.
A paid first run with a clear review point.
The trial is quoted manufacturing work. Setup, handling, selected outside processes, and requested inspection belong in the reviewed scope.
- 01
Review the quotation.
Resolve drawing questions and review the offered quantity, price, finished scope, and timing before accepting. Payment and delivery arrangements are coordinated with Nova.
- 02
Evaluate the finished run.
Use the agreed requirements and inspection evidence to evaluate the parts. Coordinate any changes or issues with Nova; placing a trial request does not establish supplier approval.
- 03
Request the next run.
Once the part and revision are established, request fresh pricing for the next quantity. Approved-part records can preserve reviewed scope for repeat quoting; they do not carry forward pricing or release production.
Questions about qualification work.
Is the trial free or discounted?
The trial is paid manufacturing work under a reviewed quotation. Nova quotes the requested scope, including setup, handling, manufacturing, and any specified inspection. This guide does not establish a discount or a fixed trial price.
Does submitting a request reserve production capacity?
No. Nova reviews the part, quantity, available manufacturing route, and requested date before confirming timing in a quotation. A forecast or requested date is not a delivery commitment.
What if our acceptance plan is still being developed?
Describe what is known and identify what still needs agreement in the acceptance and inspection field. For example, distinguish a requested measurement report from a particular approval process. Nova will review the requirements before quoting.
Do we need to commit to annual volume?
No. The trial quantity is separate from the optional repeat forecast. Share your best current planning estimate, or leave it blank. Future quantities receive their own reviewed quotation.
Make your next supplier review concrete.
Send the current revision, trial quantity, and acceptance requirements. Nova will review a quotation for the complete finished scope.
