OEM PARTS · FIRST RUN TO REPEAT PRODUCTION

Sheet metal fabrication for OEM production.

Bring Nova a released part drawing and the batch your production plan needs next. Review punched and formed components against your fit, finish, inspection, and receiving requirements before committing to a run.

REPEATABLE PART FAMILIES

Start with the components your product uses.

Material grade, thickness, tooling, bend geometry, and finish are reviewed for each drawing. For recurring hole and slot patterns, see the CNC punching review guide.

01

Brackets and supports

Show mounting patterns, datums, bends, and the dimensions that locate mating components. Identify installed hardware and any requirements that control assembly fit.

02

Panels and faceplates

Define cutouts, mounting features, formed edges, and orientation. Mark visible surfaces, finish specifications, and any labeling or marking requirements for review.

03

Covers and housings

Include mating geometry, clearances, fastening details, and cosmetic faces. A cover’s shape alone does not define sealing or other performance requirements.

Multi-component or welded work needs assembly engineering review, including the bill of materials and component revisions. Where outside processing is needed, Nova reviews partner scope and qualification before confirming the manufacturing route.

PREPARE A QUOTABLE RELEASE

Give purchasing and engineering the same scope.

  1. 01

    Identify the controlling files.

Provide the released drawing, part number, revision, units, material, thickness, and required finish. Identify reference-only models and superseded files. Use the drawing checklist to capture requirements that CAD geometry does not communicate.

  2. 02

Separate the batch from the forecast.

Enter the quantity needed now. Share estimated annual demand, repeat cadence, and useful alternative batches as planning context. Forecasts do not reserve capacity, establish standing prices, or authorize recurring orders.

  3. 03

    Specify acceptance evidence.

State critical tolerances, inspection records, first-article measurements, material documentation, and appearance criteria your team requires. Identify required formats or approval steps. Nova reviews whether and how those requirements can be included in the quotation.

  4. 04

    Provide vendor onboarding requirements.

Share supplier questionnaires, commercial terms, documentation requirements, and any approvals your organization needs before ordering. Identify unresolved requirements early. Submitting a request or completing a trial does not establish approved-vendor status.

Quality system and certificate details are published on Nova’s corporate site.

REVIEW · CHOOSE · RELEASE

Make the buying decision against reviewed options.

When Nova offers quantity options, you can compare two to six exact, reviewed batches. Each shows its unit price, total price, and production lead time under the quotation’s scope and validity. These are reviewed offers, not automatic price breaks or an annual price schedule.

  1. 01

    Qualify the first run.

For a new part or additional source, agree on what the first run must establish. Use the qualification path to define a quoted, paid trial and its acceptance requirements.

  2. 02

    Choose the useful batch.

Compare total spending and inventory exposure alongside unit price. Accept one offered quantity after reviewing its terms. A different quantity or revised drawing needs a fresh review.

  3. 03

    Complete the handoff.

After acceptance, provide the customer PO and delivery details for Nova’s review. Uploading a PO does not validate it, collect payment, or release production automatically.

RECEIVING IS PART OF THE SCOPE

Include the destination and packing plan.

Request a quote for delivery to your U.S. destination. Include the destination ZIP code, receiving requirements, and packing needs. Nova confirms feasibility, freight, and timing in the reviewed quotation.

Specify part and revision labels, quantities per pack, protective packaging, delivery appointments, or receiving documents where required. Resolve exceptions before release so the quoted scope reflects how your team will receive the parts.

OEM PURCHASING QUESTIONS

Clarify the next decision.

Can we evaluate Nova as a second source?

Yes. Submit the drawing and requirements you are authorized to share, identify the part family, and explain your qualification criteria. Nova reviews the proposed work; your organization controls its supplier approval process.

Can we reuse a quote after the drawing changes?

A changed revision, material, finish, or inspection requirement needs updated files and a new review. For unchanged parts, the repeat production flow preserves the reviewed scope while requesting current pricing and timing.

Does a quantity option commit us to the annual forecast?

No. Acceptance applies to the exact offered batch you choose. Annual demand remains planning information. Future batches need their own reviewed quotation; an expired quote must be reviewed before acceptance.
